Growing up in Sidney, Ohio, Dr. Logan Calvert was profoundly impacted through his upbringing to be of service to others.
“I believe that people are brought into our lives for specific reasons. They support us to raise the bar and help us to create a level of excellence in our lives. My Family did just that for me. The role models in my life believed the greatest thing you can do is to love and serve others. That became the foundation of my life. I could not imagine doing anything else- other than helping people.”
Dr. Logan attended Ohio State University and Life University Marietta Georgia. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and then a Doctorate in Chiropractic in March 2022. He worked briefly in a Marietta, Georgia practice before joining the DC ranks of The Joint Chiropractic. He joined The Joint Sandy Springs and The Joint Dunwoody locations, in November 2023.
When asked to describe the best thing about being in the Chiropractic field, Dr. Logan says:
“I get to see lives transform. Nothing is more rewarding than helping others experience a happier, healthier, and overall better version of themselves. Nothing is better! I love teaching and sharing the philosophy of chiropractic care. It is the why of our profession. It answers and addresses the body’s needs in terms of functionality and wellbeing.”
When asked to share the driving force behind his choice to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Logan offers a few great stories:
“I was very close to my grandfather. After his passing I kept seeing an image of me being a chiropractor. With an undergrad degree in biology, I could have gone in several directions. But every time I questioned directions away from chiropractic, I was presented with that image. I felt I was being guided to keep my focus on the steps needed to become a Doctor of Chiropractic”.
“When my brother experienced post-concussion vision loss and healed from a series of specific and intense Chiropractic adjustments and then ditched his glasses after, it was just further confirmation for me, that this was my path.”
Why the Joint?
“I felt positive energy from the owners of the group I work for in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs as well as the rockstar support staff from day one.”
Doc, can you share a book or experience that impacted your life. And a few words of wisdom for those readers wanting to know more about you?
“Without a doubt the book, “Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win, written by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin,” brought home to me leadership and excellence in life are all about mindset. Our ability to own up to consequences good or bad, and how we respond dictate integrity.”
“I believe you just have to go for it! Don’t be so serious that you can’t laugh. Because guess what? We are all human, we all understand….
